The gas leak repair at Route 14 and Spring Beach Road in Cary will not be completed until approximately 8 p.m. Thursday, according to NICOR.
It is expected that Route 14 will remain one lane in each direction through rush hour traffic causing major delays.
Alternative routes to cross the Fox River are Route 62 in Algonquin or Rawson Bridge Road.
