Lake Co. Man Plans to Use Lottery Winnings to Take Nieces, Nephews to Disney

Bill Labarbera of Antioch won $75,000 after purchasing a lottery ticket from a gas station in Barrington.

An Antioch man is $75,000 richer after the lottery ticket he bought a Barrington gas station happened to be a lucky winner.

Bill Labarbera instantly won the $75,000 after he bought an Ultimate Crossword ticket at Barrington Mobil, 504 E. Main St. in Barrington, according to a news release from the Illinois Lottery. He was in his car when he used a coin to scratch his ticket and discovered he had won.

"This is amazing. I feel very lucky,” Labarbera said.

He plans to use the winnings to take his niece and nephews to Disney World. He will invest the rest of his windfall, according to the Illinois Lottery.
