March 18 and April 1 Comprehensive Plan Neighborhood Meetings Cancelled
Every 10 years, the Village of Barrington undertakes the review of its Comprehensive Plan, in order to take stock of where our Village is to date and where we would like to go in the future. The Comprehensive Plan includes chapters on land use, neighborhoods, housing, transportation, community design, character, and more.

You may recall that the first step in this process was a Resident Survey that was sent to you in early 2019. From that survey, we learned many insights on where the community stands on certain issues and what our residents view as the most important priorities moving forward. For the remainder of 2019 and into 2020, the community engagement process will include a series of neighborhood meetings so that we can achieve the broadest public feedback. At right is a schedule for the community engagement and neighborhood meeting process.
The planning process will culminate in a Plan Commission Public Hearing in November 2020, with approval and adoption of the 2020 Comprehensive Plan in December 2020. We look forward to your participation and feedback.
