Plans Move Forward for Ela, Long Grove Roads Road Improvement Project
An open house will be held on Sept. 21 in Barrington.

BARRINGTON, IL - The Lake County Division of Transportation will be hosting a second public information meeting this month for the Intersection Improvement Study of Ela Road and Long Grove Road in Barrington and Deer Park, according to the Illinois Division of Transportation. This study was initiated to address intersection safety, existing capacity, and pedestrian and bicyclist accommodations in the project area.
The purpose of the meeting, which will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 21 at Village Church of Barrington, is to gather feedback on the proposed alternatives. The meeting will be held in the gym at Village Church of Barrington, 1600 E. Main St.
During the meeting, the project study team will provide an update on the Phase I Study progress, schedule and public involvement activities, as well as introduce the project problem statement.

Additionally, attendees can learn more about the range of alternatives considered and the evaluation criteria used to determine the proposed alternatives that have been recommended for carrying forward, according to the news release. The public is invited to come learn more about the proposed alternatives and give us your feedback.
