BARRINGTON, IL -- Inbound and outbound trains were halted near Barrington after a pedestrian was struck by a Union Pacific Northwest Metra train on Friday, Metra officials said.
The pedestrian was struck by inbound Train 642.
"The duration of this delay is unknown but extensive delays are anticipated," Metra said in a service alert.
