Water Bills Could Spike In Barrington In 2018

BARRINGTON, IL - There's a proposal that would increase bi-monthly water and sewer bills in Barrington. The proposal calls for an average increase of $6 per month, according to a Chicago Tribune report.

A meeting held on Monday, Dec. 11 is when village trustees are expected to vote on the measure. If approved, the additional $480,000 in revenue would go to paying off debts associated with projects to improve aging sanitary sewers in recent years.

The average bi-monthly bill for Barrington residents would be at $139, according to the Tribune.
