Woman Killed in Island Lake Fire
The woman was pulled from the home by firefighters early Monday morning.
ISLAND LAKE, IL - A woman was killed in an early morning fire in Island Lake.
Authorities were called to the 200 block of South Shore Drive in Island Lake at 3:39 a.m. Monday, according to the Daily Herald. Firefighters found the woman inside the home and pulled her out of the structure. Life-saving measure were not successful and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wauconda investigators and the Illinois State Fire Marshal are investigating the cause of the fire, according to the Daily Herald.
