Join Us for a Special Screening of The Librarians
We invite you to join us for a special screening of The Librarians, a powerful documentary that shines a light on the people working on the front lines to protect access to books, information, and ideas.
Directed by Kim A. Snyder, The Librarians follows librarians and community members across the country as they navigate growing challenges to intellectual freedom and access to library materials. Through their stories, the film explores the vital role libraries play in creating informed, connected communities—and why the freedom to read matters.
The screening will be preceded by a moderated panel discussion, offering an opportunity to start the conversation and hear from members of our community. Panelists will include local industry advocates: librarian Lee Spearman, bookstore owner Rob Eckman, and author Shelly Snow Pordea.
Whether you work in a library, love books, support intellectual freedom, or simply want to be part of an important community conversation, we hope you'll join us for this timely and thought-provoking film.
Come watch, connect, and be part of the conversation.
Two tickets per order maximum.
This event is proudly presented by Little Black Book Publishing, Belleville Books, and Belleville Public Library.
