Kimberly, a lawyer, was the first person to win money in the '9Teen Strong' Monopoly game supporting 19 local businesses. She found her final winning piece at the Nine Nine One BBQ Shack on 111th Street.

A video on The Plug T-Shirt store's Facebook page shows there have been three people who have won $300 so far, with the third coming forward at Hinky Dink's. With $900 off the board, there is still $4,800 remaining to be won in the game. More details here.

Owners of B-Sides Coffee + Tea have announced they plan to close the shop just one door to the south of the 99th Street Metra station.

New BAPA executive director named

Mary Jo Viero, a community organizer with the Beverly Area Planning Association, will be the organization's next executive director. Viero will replace Susan Flood in the role.
