Police say Trevon Clark was the last person to be seen with the 18-year-old Mt. Greenwood woman and was found with her car.

CHICAGO, IL — Chicago police have charged a man in connection with the death of Kara McNicholas, an 18-year-old Mount Greenwood woman who was found strangled to death in the city's Chicago Lawn neighborhood three months ago. Trevon Clark, 20, of the 6400 block of South Francisco, faces charges of felony murder in the first degree and possession of a stolen vehicle. Clark was found to be in possession of McNicholas' vehicle that went missing around the time of her death, police said.
Police said Clark was the last person seen with McNicholas, who was found dead in the back yard of a residence in the 6000 block of South Maplewood on May 11. A missing person's alert for McNicholas at the time was not sent out until several hours after she was found.
The victim's car was also reported missing at the time. Police now say Clark was found to be in possession of the car and an investigation by detectives identified Clark as the person who killed her.
