Midway Opens TSA PreCheck Enrollment Center
Enrollment center offers expedited security clearance for travelers considered a low security risk.

Chicago, IL, May 25, 2016 -- Travelers can beat the madness of long security lines or possibly spending a night on a cot by enrolling in the Transportation Security Administration’s new pre-check enrollment center at Chicago Midway International Airport.
The TSA PreCheck enrollment is now open and located in the airport’s baggage claim near Lower Level Door No. 1. The new center makes it easy and convenient for travelers to enroll in the TSA PreCheck program.
TSA PreCheck is an expedited security screening program for passengers. TSA PreCheck travelers who are considered a low security risk can have access to a dedicated lane and can experience a more efficient airport screen process without having to remove their shoes, light jackets or belts.

Items such as laptops and compliant liquids (e.g., travel-size or 3.4-oz gels, shampoos, aerosols, creams, infant and child nourishment) can be left in carry-on bags.
The program does require travelers flying through the airport or Chicago-area residents to visit a TSA application center and apply in person. Walk-ins are welcome, however, online appointments are encouraged, according to a Chicago Department of Aviation news release.
