• County, city and town have more work to resolve shared sales tax dispute (wglt.org) — Bloomington residents are at the center of an ongoing dispute with McLean County and Normal over how shared public safety and mental health sales tax dollars are spent, despite a clean audit of the fund. Key questions remain about who gets interest earnings, how much Bloomington should pay toward a new criminal justice records system, and whether some jail staff positions should be covered by the tax.
