Heartless--Bolingbrook Woman Charged With Murder Plunged Knife in Husband's Chest: Prosecutor

The Bolingbrook woman is being held at the Will County jail.

A Bolingbrook woman charged last week with murdering her husband plunged a knife into the man’s chest, a prosecutor said.

Michele Evans, 50, appeared in bond court Monday afternoon. She said nothing during the brief hearing and was returned to the Will County jail, where she is being held in lieu of $1 million bond.

Evans stabbed her husband, 55-year-old David Evans, in the chest Thursday night, said Assistant State’s Attorney Laurence Leszcynski.

David Evans was reportedly taken from his Bloomfield Drive residence to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, where he died a few hours later.

According to Michele Evans’ Facebook page, she worked at Valley View School District and was in the Air Force from 1985 until 1990.

Valley View spokesman Larry Randa said in an email Friday that Michele Evans “is a secretary at Romeoville HIgh School. She has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.”
