Man Jailed After Sexual Advances Rejected, Police Say

This Bolingbrook resident was taken away in handcuffs by Bolingbrook police officers.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - A 41-year-old Bolingbrook man recently spent four days in jail after Bolingbrook Police say he attacked someone who didn't want to have sex with him. Now, Ismail Gomez-Ramirez faces felony charges of aggravated domestic battery. He spent four days in the Will County Jail until posting 10 percent of his $100,000 bail on Tuesday. He remains free while his criminal case is pending in Will County.

Bolingbrook officers responded to a local hospital around 3 a.m. Sunday after learning someone suffered non-life threatening injuries during an attack.

"It was determined that Ismail Gomez-Ramirez, 41 years of age, allegedly battered the victim, after the victim rebuked a sexual advance," police reports show.

Police say the victim kicked Gomez-Ramirez in hopes of getting him to stop the attack, but he responded by punching the victim, causing them to fall down.

"Gomez-Ramirez then stomped on victim. Gomez-Ramirez was located at the residence in the 400 block of Greentree and taken into custody," reports show.
