3 Teens Put Stolen Laundry Hampers On Heads: Buffalo Grove PD Blotter
The trio attempted to steal the items from Woodman's Grocery, according to police.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED

Alejandro Perez-Carmona, 54, is accused of driving with a suspended license, driving 15-20 mph over the speed limit (51 mph in a 35 mph zone), and was arrested at 8:22 a.m. March 7, at N. Arlington Heights Road and Plum Grove Circle. He was released and assigned a court date of March 19.

INCIDENTS
BURGLARY TO VEHICLE
Police were called to Big Blue Swim School, 101 N. McHenry Road, at 8:30 p.m. March 7, for a report of burglary to vehicle. The victim said they had parked their car behind the building at 3 p.m. They returned to the car to find the front passenger's side window destroyed.
VANDALISM
An anonymous complaint made at 11:25 p.m. March 7, said three people were spraying graffiti on the overpass wall of Lake Cook Road, east of Hastings. Police investigated and found that the paint was west and smelled as if it were freshly applied.
RETAIL THEFT
Police were called to Woodman's Grocery, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway, at 6:08 p.m. March 8, for a report of retail theft. An employee said three teenagers had taken three laundry hampers, placed them on their heads and left the store without paying. Police met with the teens, told them to return the stolen property. They were each given a trespass warning, active for a year.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Police responded to Villa Verde Condos, 1 Villa Verde Drive, at 7:13 p.m. March 9, for criminal damage to property report. The complainant told police they had placed a windshield barnacle, valued at $410, on a vehicle for improper parking at 1:50 a.m. It had been removed at 3:11 p.m.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT
Police responded to the 1500 block of Johnson Drive at 3:29 a.m. March 10, for a motor vehicle theft report. The owner of a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee said they had parked it in the parking lot at 8 p.m. the previous day and returned to find it gone.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
A resident in the 1700 block of Johnson Drive reported at 3:25 p.m. March 12, they had left the home at 10:30 a.m. and were the first to return home from school. They discovered their house had been broken into and ransacked.
