Antsy Driver Threatens Construction Worker; 3rd DWI: Blotter
A driver threatened to run over construction worker for being asked to stop for 5 minutes; man accused of 3rd DWI: Buffalo Grove Blotter.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS

- Daniel F. O'Neill, 24, of the 0-100 block of Linden Avenue, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal lane usage, damage to village property, and was arrested at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 7. His bond was set at $1,000, and he was given a court date of Aug. 26 in Waukegan.
- Rene Bustamante, 27, of the 3900 block of W Barry Avenue, Chicago, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence (third offense), driving on a suspended/revoked license due to driving under the influence, speeding, wrong way driving, and was arrested at 6:25 a.m. Aug. 8 in the 3300 block of N Arlington Heights Road. According to police, Bustamante was driving 60 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone. A pursuit followed before he pulled over. A half full Buchanans Deluxe scotch bottle was found in the middle console without a cap, according to police. Police also saw Bustamante drink from the bottle when returning to their squad car.
WARRANT
- Isaac Goodlow, 27, of the 500 block of N Lawler Avenue, Chicago, is accused of having a warrant out of Wheaton, and was arrested at 3 p.m. Aug. 7 at the police station.
- Jerry E. Dickens, 50, of the 1100 block of E. Barberry Lane, Palatine, is accused of having a warrant, and was arrested at 5:31 p.m. Aug. 8 at Lake Cook and Arlington Heights roads.

- Orsoo Erdenetsogt, 43, of the 300 block of N Milwaukee Avenue, Wheeling, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, operating an uninsured vehicle, having an expired registration, failure to notify an address/name change, and was arrested at 3:04 p.m. Aug. 8 in the parking lot of Rokbonki Japanse Steak House. His bond was set at $3,000, and he was given a court date of Sept. 18 in Mundelein.
- Judith A. Chagoya, 51, of the 38400 block of N Sheridan Road, Beach Park, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, operating an uninsured vehicle, a lighted lamps violation, and was arrested at 5:25 a.m. Aug. 10 at Half Day Road and Main Street. Her bond was set at $2,500, and she was given a court date of Sept. 18 in Mundelein.
- Victor Jamel Baker, 27, of the 7400 block of S Champlain Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, not wearing a seatbelt, and was arrested at 11:32 p.m. Aug. 9 at Dundee Road and Vernon Lane. His bond was set at $2,500, and he was assigned a court date of Sept. 18 in Mundelein.
UNLICENSED DRIVER
Pedro Leyva, Jr., 23, of the 500 block of Westmoreland Drive, Vernon Hills, is accused of being an unlicensed driver, speeding over the statutory limit (61 mph in a 45 mph zone), and was arrested at 7:57 a.m. Aug 7 at Arlington Heights and Lake Cook roads. His bond was set at $2,500, and he was assigned a court date of Sept. 18 in Mundelein.
INCIDENTS
THEFT OVER $500
A Chicory Court resident reported at 3:43 p.m. Aug. 7 that $12,970 was missing from their Chase Bank savings/checking account between Aug. 4-6. Someone had written checks using the resident's account information to various people, primarily in North Carolina.
SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT/CIRCUMSTANCES
A Devonshire Road resident called police at 11:37 a.m. Aug. 9 to report receiving mysterious seeds, believed to be from China, in the mail. The resident was advised to keep the seeds inside of their original bag, place that bag in a sealed zip lock bag and out of reach of people. The resident was provided contact information for the Illinois State Plant Regulatory Office.
DISPUTE
A person working as a construction sign operator near Weiland Road and Newtown Drive called police at 11:03 a.m. Aug. 7 to report a driver threatened them. The worker said they had to temporarily stop traffic, causing the driver to wait approximately five minutes. The worker said the drive became upset and said, "You wouldn't be so cute if I hit you." The driver then drove away westbound on Newtown Drive.
THEFT
A customer at Woodman's Market reported at 1:22 p.m. Aug. 6 their purse had been stolen in the parking lot. They said they were shopping in the store with their purse in the cart before leaving the cart near the east entrance of the store. The customer said while shopping at another store, they realized they had left the purse in the cart. Upon returning to Woodman's, they saw the purse and shopping cart were both gone.
