Car With Broken Window Was Stolen: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter
Villa Park police contacted the Buffalo Grove Police Department about the suspicious vehicle, who later determined it was stolen locally.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

Pavel Yemelyanov, 42, of the 400 block of Inland Drive, Wheeling, had an in-state warrant, was driving on a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle when registration suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating a vehicle without registration, and was arrested at 11:26 p.m. Oct. 27, at Dundee and S. Buffalo Grove roads. He was placed in a holding cell until the Cook County Sheriff's Department picked up for the active warrant. Yemelyanov was assigned a court date of Nov. 17.

INCIDENTS
STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE
Police responded to the 800 block of Miller Lane at 3:12 a.m. Oct. 28, for a stolen motor vehicle report. Police were contacted by the Villa Park Police Department when they had seen a car with a broken rear window that appeared suspicious. The owner of the suspicious vehicle, who lives at the residence, found out his vehicle was not where he had parked it and was stolen.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS
Police responded to the 300 block of Towne Place Circle on Oct. 27, for a report of a stolen catalytic converter. A citizen told police that they had parked their car in the parking lot of their condo building on Oct. 25 at around 5 p.m. and found the catalytic converter missing the next day at 8:10 a.m.
