BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

Alan D. Sapoznik, 28, of the 1200 block of Sandhurst Drive, Buffalo Grove, had a no bond warrant out of Lake County, and was arrested at 4:26 p.m. May 16, in the 1200 block of Sandhurst Drive. He was taken to the Lake County Sheriff's Office jail.

Pedro Gomez Gonzalez, 40, of the 1400 block of Perry Street, Des Plaines, had a warrant out of Cook County for failure to appear, and was arrested at 12:02 a.m. May 19, in the 3100 block of N. Arlington Heights Road. Gonzalez had initially been pulled over for having heavily dark-tinted windows, which he was issued a citation for.

INCIDENTS

RETAIL THEFT

Police responded to Woodman's Grocery, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway, at 7:30 p.m. May 17, for a report of a retail theft. A customer had been caught scanning certain items, but not scanning others and putting them into her bag. In total, she had reportedly not scanned 23 items, totaling $142.69, before putting them in her car without paying. She was issued an adjudication citation and given a trespass warning.
