Fire Panel Box Stolen From Building: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter

Police said while it's unknown when the device had been taken, but the last communication from it took place in January.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE

Sung J. Kim, 55, of the 2400 block of W. Bradley Place, Chicago, is accused of driving on a suspended license, disregarding a traffic control device, disobeying a stop sign, and was arrested at 9:58 a.m. March 9, in the 40 block of Raupp Boulevard. A court date of March 23 was assigned.

RETAIL THEFT

Staff at a grocery store in the 1500 block of E. Deerfield Parkway reported at 5:05 p.m. March 4, a male had stolen a bottle of soda. The person was identified, issued an adjudication citation for retail theft, and trespassed from the property.

THEFT

A property manager in the 0-100 block of Oak Creek Drive reported that between 10 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. March 4, tools valued at $200 were stolen.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

A male in the 1300 block of Rose Boulevard was reportedly playing a recording at a loud volume at 3:07 p.m. March 5, from an unknown sound-amplification device through a second story window. Police said a disorderly conduct will be issued when they're able to contact the homeowner.

THEFT FROM BUILDING

A fire panel box was reported missing at 1:11 p.m. March 6, at a building in the 700 block of W. Lake Cook Road. It is unknown when it was taken with the last communication from the device taking place in January.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLES

It was reported at 10:56 a.m. and 11:14 a.m. on March 9 that catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles in the 1100 block of Windbrooke Drive.
