Man Pepper Sprays Woman At Grocery Store: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter
The incident followed an altercation between the two at Woodman's Grocery, according to police.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

Kenler DeJean, 25, of the 8900 block of Lamont Avenue, Skokie, is accused of battery (cause bodily harm), and was arrested at 9:28 p.m. Nov. 30, at Woodman's Grocery, 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway. A complainant told police that she had an altercation with DeJean, a former acquaintance. She said she was pepper-sprayed in the face by DeJean during the altercation. DeJean was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 18.

INCIDENTS
THEFT
Police responded to Panera Bread, 1549 E. Deerfield Parkway, at 1:37 p.m. Nov. 29, for a theft report. A complainant told police that she was sitting at an end table with her two kids and had placed her purse on the back of the chair she was sitting on. She said a male had been sitting at the table behind her, got up to leave as a female came in and sat at the table. After several minutes, she heard a snap on her purse behind her. At the same time, the woman got up to leave. The woman looked in her purse and noticed some credit cards and debit cards were missing from her wallet.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Police responded to the 900 block of W. Dundee Road at 6:46 p.m. Dec. 4, for criminal damage to property report at two locations. The damage was done at an unknown date and time. Several broken windows had been boarded up, and the glass in the east showroom entry door to one of the properties was shattered.
