• Man captured in Poland 6 years after driving 150+ mph, causing crash that killed 2, including 'beloved' Buffalo Grove resident (lakemchenryscanner.com) — A Buffalo Grove mail carrier was one of two people killed in a 2020 high‑speed crash at Lake Cook Road and Northgate Parkway, on the Wheeling–Buffalo Grove border, and the accused driver has now been extradited from Poland. Authorities say he faces reckless homicide charges and remains jailed pending upcoming court dates, while the victim's family has already received a civil settlement.
