Woman Urinates On Sidewalk Frequently; Illegal Booze: Blotter
Woman spotted frequently urinating on neighborhood sidewalk; restaurant was selling liquor to go without license: Buffalo Grove Blotter.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

Omar A. Ramirez, 20, of the 100 block of Hansom Drive, Wheeling, is accused of bond forfeiture warrant (failure to appear) out of Kane County, and was arrested at 12:09 a.m. Aug. 15 at Dundee Road and Vernon Lane. His bond was set at $3,000, and he was given a court date of Sept. 25.

- Julius A. Oyinkolade, 60, of the 1400 block of Doolittle Lane, Grayslake, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, a lighted lamps violation, and was arrested at 9:32 p.m. Aug. 11 at Milwaukee Avenue and Deerfield Road. His bond was set at $1,500, and he was assigned a court date of Sept. 18.
- Michael H. Davis, 30, of the 800 block of Mark Lane Apartments, Wheeling, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, operating an uninsured vehicle, and was arrested at 7:22 p.m. Aug. 14 at Arlington Heights and Beechwood roads. His bond was set at $2,250 and his court date was set for Sept. 18 in Mundelein.
- Derrick Deon Moore, 27, of the 700 block of E 78th Street, Chicago, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, speeding 40 miles per hour over the speed limit (70 mph in a 35 mph zone), and was arrested at 12:03 p.m. Aug. 12 at Half Day Road and Apple Hill Lane. His bond was set at $2,500, and he was assigned a court date of Sept. 18 in Mundelein.
- Judith A. Chagoya, 51, of the 38400 block of N Sheridan Road, Beach Park, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, driving an uninsured vehicle, a lighted lamps violation, and was arrested at 5:25 p.m. Aug. 10 at Half Day Road and Main Street. Her bail was set at $2,500, and she was assigned a court date of Sept. 18 in Mundelein.
WARRANT FOR LARCENY
Roberto Gonzalez, Jr., 24, of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, is accused of having a warrant out of Wheeling for failure to appear in court for a larceny charge, leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage, driving on a suspended/revoked license, failure to give aid or inform, illegal lane usage, and was arrested at 8:02 p.m. Aug. 16. His bond was set at $25,000, and he was given a court date of Sept. 18 in Mundelein.
UNLICENSED DRIVER
Jorge Martinez, 19, of the 0-100 block of Broughman Drive, Wheeling, is accused of being an unlicensed driver, a tinted adjacent windows violation, and was arrested at 12:07 a.m. Aug. 15 at Dundee and Vernon roads. His bond was set at $2,500, and he was assigned a court date of Sept. 18 in Mundelein.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL
William Alexander Patino Lopez, 45, of the 800 block of Mcintosh Court, Mount Prospect, is accused of two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, not having a driver's license/permit, failure to reduce speed, and was arrested at 10:31 p.m. Aug. 15 in the 700 block of Buffalo Grove Road. His bond was set at $3,000, and he was given a court date of Sept. 9 in Rolling Meadows.
INCIDENTS
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A person associated with the Spoerlein Commons shopping mall, 1151 McHenry Road, reported at 11:08 a.m. Aug. 12 a woman stopped and urinated on the sidewalk while walking through the mall. The caller said they had seen the same woman commit the same act on numerous occasions in the past. They said they had tried to speak with the woman, but were unsuccessful due to a language barrier. The woman was described as being in her early 60s, wearing a gray T-Shirt and a knee-length tiger print skirt.
FRAUD
A Johnson Drive resident called police at 3:40 p.m. Aug. 12 to report they received a call from an unknown person identifying themselves as an officer with the social security office. The caller told the resident they had a warrant for their arrest for drug trafficking, and they needed to provide personal information to clear up the case. The resident began giving the caller some of the information before realizing the whole thing was a scam.
LIQUOR ESTABLISHMENT CHECK
Police were directed to check the Hanabi Japanese Restaurant, 734 S Buffalo Grove Road, at 6:56 p.m. Aug. 11 for any liquor law violations. Village officials had been informed the restaurant was operating without a liquor license. A sign at the entrance stated, "We are now selling alcohol to go for the duration of the Coronavirus lockdown. We will check IDs for all orders." Police made contact with the restaurant's owner, who initially said they are not serving liquor. After being asked about the signs and the bottles of liquor prominently displayed behind the front door, the owner said they do serve alcohol to-go. The owner then said they know their liquor license is expired and is trying to renew it with the village. Police told the owner to cease liquor sales all together.
THEFT OVER $500
A resident in the 900 block of Alden Lane reported at 4:19 p.m. Aug. 13 that their men's track/street bike (black with white stripes) was stolen out of the garage between 3:30-7:30 p.m. the prior day. The resident had left their main garage door open.
BURGLARY FROM A MOTOR VEHICLE
The owner of a food truck called police at 7:38 a.m. Aug. 11 to report someone had entered the truck and took loose change, cash and a case of soda as it was parked behind a business in the 0-100 block of W Dundee Road. The owner believes someone entered the truck through a window. The owner mentioned that the same thing had happened two other times in the last week.
