1 Dead, Others Critically Injured in Woodstock Crash

Two vehicles in the crash had "severe" front-end damage, according to reports.

WOODSTOCK, IL — A Saturday car accident in Woodstock on Route 120 left one dead, according to reports.

Woodstock firefighters responded to 9400 block of West Route 120 Saturday around 9:40 a.m. according to the Daily Herald, on the report of an accident. They found two cars heavily damaged.

The Herald reported Woodstock Fire Capt. Karen Bush as saying three people were taken to Centrega Hospital - McHenry, initially in critical condition.

Both cars had severe front-end damage, according to the Herald, and McHenry sheriff's deputies blocked traffic on the route between Thompson and Greenwood roads for several hours after the deadly crash.

The crash is under investigation.
