All You Need to Know About LITH Sunset Festival

The Sunset Festival will be held from Aug. 29 through Aug. 31.

Summer is winding down, but there is still plenty of fun to be had this weekend at the Lake in the Hills Sunset Festival.

The Sunset Festival will be held Friday, Aug. 29, through Sunday Aug. 31, at Sunset Park, which is located at Miller and Albrecht roads in Lake in the Hills. The Summer Sunset Festival is free.

Musical Acts

Aug. 29

Class of 68: 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Petty Cash: 9 to 10:30 p.m.

Aug. 30

Sonic 7 6:30 to 8 p.m.

HiFi Superstar 9 to 10:30 p.m.

Aug. 31

Abba Salute: 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Libido Funk: 8 to 10 p.m.

Wine Tasting Event

A wine-tasting event will be held each day of the festival this year. The tastings will occur at 4 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, 5 to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday and 5 to 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Fireworks, Melon Propellin’ Competition, Sunset 5K

A fireworks finale will be held at 9:30 p.m. Sunday at Sunset Park. The popular melon propellin’ competition will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Sunset 5K will be held at 7 p.m. Friday. The Sunset Festival parade will step off at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

The Sunset Festival will also feature a carnival, Kids’ Korner, car show and more.
