Alleged Victim Allowed To Bring Therapy Dog To Sex Abuse Trial
The therapy dog for a girl, who was under the age of 13 years old when she was sexually abused, will appear in court on Friday.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL - A therapy dog will be allowed to accompany a girl to the trial of a man accused of sexually abusing her. Despite concerns from the defense attorney that the pup would win jurors' sympathy, McHenry County Judge James Cowlin agreed on Wednesday to allow the animal at the trial for David Tapley, 53, of Crystal Lake.
Tapley is charged with sexually abusing a girl who is under 13 years old during instances in 2010, 2013 and 2015, the Northwest Herald reports.

Cowlin ordered attorneys to return to court on Friday -- and the dog must also be present, according to the Northwest Herald. The trial is set to get underway on Sept 17.
