Cary Metra Station Projects Takes Next Step Forward
The $3 million project is expected to be completed in summer 2019.

CARY, IL — The Metra station improvement project Cary is taking a step forward as the Cary Village Board approved a $150,000 contract with Muller and Muller Ltd.
Muller and Muller previously was approved for a $312,000 design services contract. The approval allows for the company to take on procurement and construction services, according to the Northwest Herald.
The new project, when done, will reveal a fully enclosed building, the Herald reports, with a ticket agency facility. It will also include a warming shelter.

Village documents reveal that completion is expected in summer 2019, the Herald reported. In total, the overall project, initially approved in 2014, is expected to cost between $2.5 million and $3 million, about $2 million of which will be covered by a federal grand obtained by Metra.
The village led the design phase of the project, but Metra will lead the procurement and construction phases with the help of Muller and Muller.

The contract has a 10 percent contingency, the Herald reported. This means at at a maximum, the project will cost $166,582. Construction is expected to start summer 2018,
