Cary Physical Therapy assesses Cary Grove High School Girls’ Cross Country Team

Cary – Tuesday, August 18th Physical Therapists Todd Wallace and Dianna Noonan of Cary Physical Therapy performed individual running assessments and advised the Cary Grove High School Girls’ Cross Country Team. Both Todd and Dianna are avid athletes themselves. With the onset of his new busy family life, Todd runs less competitively and more recreationally these days. Dianna is a 6 time NCAA All American Pole Vaulting champion who loves any kind of competitive sport. At CGHS, Todd and Dianna lead discussion and demonstration of proper running form and injury prevention. Later, both therapists observed and evaluated each team member for running technique while watching for any potential abnormalities that can lead to injury this coming season. “At the first sign of injury, many runners have the same reaction: Ignore it and keep training” says Todd Wallace, “but most running injuries only get harder to treat the longer you let them linger. If it’s hurting, it’s not healing.” Cary Physical Therapy (847)516-8095 Ext 0.
