Cooking Accident At South High Prompts Airlift To Hospital
The injuries were non life-threatening, but the patient had to be taken to a Level I Trauma Center.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department was called to Crystal Lake South High School Sunday to establish a landing zone for a medical evacuation helicopter, according to a press release, for an individual that was injured in a cooking accident.
The injuries were not life threatening, according to the press release, but the person had to be taken to a Level I Trauma Center. The Flight for Life crew took over the person's care from the Fire Rescue Department at 4:33 p.m.
There is no further information on the person's identity, condition or injuries.
