The McHenry County Coroner's Office has identified a driver killed after a car crashed into a retention pond in Huntley earlier this month as Tomasz Wojt, 41, of Chicago.
The collision happened at about 5:40 a.m. on Sept. 14 while Wojt's 2007 GMC pickup truck was headed west on Charles Sass Parkway and went off the roadway, hit a light pole and rolled over before coming to a stop in a retention pond, according to police.
Wojt was the only occupant in the GMC and was ejected from the truck. He was found dead near the retention pond, according to police.
