Crystal Lake Police Seek 3 Suspects In Jewelry Store Break-In
The suspects broke into Dalzell Jewelry just before 4 a.m. Thursday, shattered display cases, and left with multiple pieces of jewelry.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL – Police are searching for three suspects who broke into Dalzell Jewelry early Thursday morning and smashed several display cases and left with multiple pieces of jewelry, the Crystal Lake Police reported Friday.
Officers were dispatched to the store, located at 41 North Williams St., at 3:56 a.m. after the store’s burglary alarm was set off. According to a department spokesperson, officers discovered entry had been made through an exterior storefront window and that suspects left with jewelry, the value of which has not been determined at this time, police said in a news release.
Video obtained at the scene determined that three suspects were involved in the crime and police are searching for the three men. The first suspect is described as being between the ages of 20 and 28, approximately 5-foot-8 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. He was wearing black pants and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt at the time of the break-in, police said. The second and third suspects are described as being Black males who are thin and between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8.
