New Directions Addiction Recovery Services presents: A Night Of Comedy on August 4th, 2011 at the Stage Left Cafe in Woodstock, IL, hosted by Theater Undreground.Â
New Directions is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization and their goal is to open a level 3.1 treatment facility, otherwise known as a halfway house, that will treat both men and women with addiction problems here in McHenry County.  Their in-house counseling will teach addicts how to live an alcohol and drug free life.  The proceeds for this benefit night of comedy will help move their organization closer to their goal of establishing the only halfway house in McHenry County.  Currently there are no transitional living facilities between Lake Villa and Rockford, and the closest facilities are in Du Page and Kane Counties.  You can find additional information on their Web site at http://www.ndaddictionrecoveryservices.com or on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/New-Directions-Addiction-Recovery-Services/208137249210133
The night of comedy will feature Theater Undreground's Improvisational comedy throughout the evening with plenty of surprises along the way, such as stand-up comics and musical acts. Â Doors open at 6pm, the show starts at 7pm, and the event will go until 9:30pm or even later.Â
