Fall Festivities Return: Goebbert's, Stade's Reopen This Weekend

McHenry County residents love to get out to enjoy local fall favorites at area pumpkin patches, apple orchards, corn mazes.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — It's that time of year again. Pumpkin patches and corn mazes and apple orchards are reopening for the fall season and bringing with plenty of activities.

A couple McHenry County area farms have already opened while others, including Richardson Adventure Farm, Goebbert's Farm in South Barrington and Stade's Farm and Market in McHenry, are set to kick off the fun this weekend.

Here is a look at some of our favorite stops in the fall and when those farms are planning to reopen:

The Goebbert's Pumpkin Patch at 42W813 Reinking Road Pingree Grove opened on Aug. 26 for the fall season and Goebbert's Farm in South Barrington is set to open on Sept. 11. More information on both farms can be found online, including information on activities, admission and hours of operation at Goebbert's Farm in South Barrington and Goebbert's Pumpkin Patch in Pingree Grove.

Richardson Adventure Farm, 909 English Prairie Road in Spring Grove, is opening for its 20th year of fall fun on Sept. 11. More information is available online.

The Shades of Autumn fall festival at Stade's Farm & Market, 3709 Miller Road in McHenry, will open for the season on Sept. 11. More information on hours of operation and attractions can be found here.

Fun fall activities at Royal Oak Farm, 15908 Hebron Road in Harvard, have been up and running since. Aug. 21. More information is available online.
