Fall Fun: McHenry Co. Farm Stroll Returns

Mark your calendar! The popular event will be held in September.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL -- McHenry County residents interested in attending this fall's farm stroll are encouraged to mark their calendars for the Sept. 30 event. The farm stroll will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is the fourth year for the Farm Stroll, which is a self-guided tour of the county’s diversified family farms.

Last year, hundreds of visitors enjoyed their “day in the country." A total of 12 farms will be part of this year’s educational agricultural tour. Together the 12 farms will feature various fruits, vegetables, cows, goats, sheep, poultry, horses, alpacas, and more, according to a post on the McHenry County Farm Stroll Facebook page.

Because this is a family-friendly, free, self-guided tour, there is no beginning or end of the tour—just choose the type of farms that interest you and visit them during the designated time. To help you make your decisions, you can visit the McHenry County Farm Bureau website for additional details about each farm.
