ACROSS ILLINOIS — As the weekend wraps up, we've rounded up all the stories you may have missed over the long holiday weekend.

Summer is officially in full swing in the Chicago area, and so far, the weather has been cooperating. The Memorial Day weekend served up sunshine and warm weather and it looks like hot temperatures are in the forecast as we head back into the work week.

Highs in the upper 80s and 90s are likely for the Chicago area for the coming days. A few isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms are possible Wednesday through Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
