Man Sentenced For Sexually Assaulting Girl, 13
The sexual assault was reported to police by school officials in Crystal Lake.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL -- A 37-year-old former Woodstock man has been sentenced to nine years in prison for touching a 13-year-old child inappropriately, prosecutors said. Andres S. Gamez pleaded guilty to criminal sexual assault this past week and will serve his nine-year prison sentence concurrently to a seven-year sentence he received in Wisconsin for a similar charge. Gamez is accused of sexually assaulting the teen between May 21, 2015, and Jan. 31, 2015.
Authorities arrested Gamez on May 13, 2015, after officials at a Crystal Lake school notified police regarding the sexual assault allegations, according to the Northwest Herald. Gamez's wife was also arrested shortly after for allegations she harassed the teenage victim.
