Man Violated Bail By Visiting His Newborn Baby: Authorities
The man is accused of battering a woman when she was 7 months pregnant.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL -- A 20-year-old Crystal Lake man allegedly violated a court order by visiting the newborn child of a woman he is accused of battering, the Northwest Herald reports. Christopher W. Feirn allegedly tackled the woman, who was seven months pregnant at the time, to the ground and then began to bounce on her and say, "let's kill the baby." He then allegedly took her phone when she tried to call 911.
Prosecutors said Feirn, of the 700 block of Redwood Street, was ordered not to have contact with the victim as a condition of his bond, according to the Northwest Herald. McHenry County Assistant Public Defender Richard Behof requested the no-contact order be lifted so Feirn could be present for the birth of his child. But a judge denied that request.
Two days later, Feirn visited the newborn, according to the article. On Monday, McHenry County Judge Sharon Prather reprimanded Feirn and said if he violated the no-contact order again, he'd "be in jail," the Northwest Herald reports.
