Mass Testing Site Stops Allowing Walk-Ins Due To High Demand

Appointments will now be needed for a COVID-19 test at the mass testing site in McHenry.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — Walk-in testing for COVID-19 will no longer be allowed at a site in McHenry.

The testing site at 1900 N. Richmond Road in McHenry is run by Curative, which assists in providing COVID-19 testing. The building, a former KMart that was donated and turned over to the McHenry County Department of Health in February 2021, began as a mass vaccination clinic and testing was also offered at the location.

In September, the health department announced it would stop offering vaccines at the facility but testing would continue.

You can schedule an appointment at curative.com or call the MCDH COVID-19 at (815) 334-4045 for assistance.
