Coroner Releases Cause Of Death In Crystal Lake Fatal
A teen driver was southbound on Virginia Road and turning left onto Rakow Road when his vehicle hit the Harley-Davidson, police said.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The McHenry County Coroner has released the cause of death for a 63-year-old Crystal Lake man killed in a motorcycle crash on Sunday night. Peter G. O'Grady died from blunt force injuries to the brain, chest and extremities following the crash at about 8:50 p.m. at Virginia and Rakow roads. The crash happened when a teen driver traveling south on Virginia Road and turning left onto Rakow Road struck O'Grady's Harley-Davidson in the intersection, police said.
O'Grady was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The male teenage driver and four passengers in the teen's Ford Expedition were not injured, according to a news release from the Crystal Lake Police Department.
The traffic crash remains under investigation by the Crystal Lake Police Department and the
McHenry County Coroner’s Office.

The intersection was closed for about two hours as accident investigators analyzed the scene.
