A 4-month-old baby, who was found unresponsive while napping at a McHenry County daycare, has died, authorities said.

A staff member found the baby, who was not breathing, during a scheduled check at nap time on Tuesday. Emergency crews say the baby was stabilized before being transported to receive additional care. He died two days later, according to reports.

A 19-year-old Cary man died in a drive-by shooting on Chicago's South Side over the weekend, according to authorities. The Medical Examiner's Office determined the man, who was standing outside when he was hit by the gunfire, died from a gunshot wound to his back. Six people were taken to the hospital Sunday morning after an ambulance that was enroute to the hospital collided with two other vehicles. The collision happened at about 11:05 a.m. on Highway 45 and Peterson Road when the Lake Villa Fire Protection District ambulance collided with a Lexus RX350 and Chevrolet Equinox, according to a news release from the Libertyville Police Department.
