No Injuries In Crystal Lake Car, School Bus Crash

The teen driver was cited for failure to yield, according to reports.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A Friday afternoon accident in Crystal Lake involving a school bus yielded no injuries. A teen driving a Chevy with two passengers and a school bus were the vehicles involved.

The teen driver turned south onto Walkup Road from westbound Dvorak Drive, said McHenry County Sheriff's Deputy Sandra Rogers, at about 3 p.m. Friday, according to the Northwest Herald.

The school bus, which was traveling north on Walkup Road, hit the Chevy as it pulled out in front. There were no students on the bus at the time.

The driver of the Chevy, whose car needed to be towed from the scene, according to the Herald, was cited for failing to yield.

The bus sustained minor damage.
