McHenry VFW’s Queen of Hearts Headed for Drawdown

There was no winner Tuesday and the $6.1 million jackpot will rollover.

MCHENRY, IL — Crowds packed the McHenry VFW building Tuesday night, but with no winning ticket picked, again, the Queen of Hearts lottery is headed for a drawdown. This week’s ticket winner, Rebecca K., picked card number 38, which revealed the 10 of spades.

The jackpot reached $6.1 million for Tuesday’s drawing. Over a million tickets were sold, according to the Northwest Herakd.

The Sept. 18 drawdown will involve VFW officials pullung raffle tickets and revealing cards from the board until the Queen of Hearts is found.
Official rules establishing the procedures for a draw down will be published on the McHenry VFW Facebook page.

Tickets for Sept. 18 drawing can be purchased anytime during normal business hours behind the bar at the VFW, 3002 Route 120 in McHenry. Ticket sales will end at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, to give volunteers time to prep for the 8 p.m. drawdown, officials said.

The McHenry VFW is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Tuesday.
