Trial For Ex-Choir Director Gets Underway Wednesday

Justin Hubly is accused of providing alcohol to former students and having inappropriate contact with two of them.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL – The trial for a former Crystal Lake Central choir director accused of providing alcoholic beverages to his former students and having inappropriate contact with two of them is expected to get underway on Wednesday, the Northwest Herald reports. Justin Hubly, 35, of 746 Point Drive, faces charges of battery and unlawful delivery of alcoholic liquor to a minor. Hubly, who was charged in November 2016, had been the choir director at Crystal Lake Central since 2004 but was suspended and resigned shortly after his arrest.

If convicted on either of the misdemeanor charges, he faces less than a year in prison.
