Winter Storm Expected to Bring 4 to 7 Inches of Snow to McHenry County
A winter storm watch has been issued for McHenry County starting Friday evening and continuing through Saturday morning.

A winter storm watch has been issued for Lake, McHenry and Kane counties starting Friday evening and continuing through Saturday morning. The first winter storm of the season is expected to bring four to seven inches of snow.
A rain-snow mix is expected Friday evening but that will quickly change to snow, according to the National Weather Service. Ground temperatures will initially limit accumulation but as the system strengthens over northern Illinois late Friday night and into Saturday, snow will quickly begin to accumulate.
