Woodstock Man Charged With Sex Assault Of Pre-Teen

If convicted of the most serious charge, he faces up to 30 years in prison.

WOODSTOCK, IL — A Woodstock man has been arrested under the accusation of sexually assaulting a pre-teen girl and is facing multiple felony charges, according to reports.

The Northwest Herald reported a Woodstock press release as saying that Daniel Pollet, 35, of the 1400 block of Commons Drive, was charged Wednesday with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Woodstock police initially found about about the allegation from Centegra Hospital - Huntley officials. Police investigated and met with the victim to interview her.

She told police that Pollet, who she knew, but is not a family member, had sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions, the Herald reported Woodstock Police Chief John Lieb as saying.

Pollet now faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted of the most serious charge. He's being extradited from Wisconsin, where he was being held at the Walworth County Courthouse for a separate incident, a non-criminal matter.
