DYBA - Sign Your Daughter Up for Softball!!!!

DYBA Softball Registration

The red DYBA (Deerfield Youth Baseball Association) signs have started to appear around town to encourage kids to sign up for spring baseball/softball. This fun is not only for boys, there is also girls program. My daughter and I have been involved with the program for many years as she has gone through the levels, T-Ball, Pinto (1st/2nd grade), Mustang (3rd/4th grade), Bronco (5th/6th/7th grade). It has been a wonderful experience as she has progressed from learning to put a glove on and swinging a bat to now catching fly balls and hitting live pitching from her peers. I know there many other activities that girls are involved in, but I would like to make my pitch why DYBA softball should be one of them. The skills that you learn on the softball field carry over to all parts of your life. If you are able to hit, throw, and catch a softball there is no sport you can not do.

Baseball may not be the national past time any more, but the Cubs and White Sox are still an important part of this community and knowing how to play the game is an important part of the experience of professional sports. The Cubs are even favored to win the World Series!

The time commitment is minimum, one weekday night and Saturday mornings for approximately 8 weeks. If you daughter wants to try it out DYBA is offering four (4) FREE clinics starting Sunday, February 28 at Caruso Middle school for ages pre-K to 7th grade. Check DYBA.com for more details (http://www.dyba.com/page/show/171639-dysba-softball). Hopefully, if you are still reading you will sign up your daughter for softball and have a fun filled learning experience for years to come.
