Half Day Road Closed In Bannockburn
Route 22 will be closed through Oct. 2 for Metra track repairs and resurfacing.

BANNOCKBURN, IL — Half Day Road (Route 22) will be completely closed between Waukegan Road (Route 43) and the Tri-State Tollway (Interstate-94) until Tuesday for repairs and resurfacing of the rail crossing, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced.
The closure will affect both the eastbound and westbound traffic on as the road will be closed for the duration of construction in both directions, according to the Village of Bannockburn.
There are posted detours directing eastbound Half Day Road traffic to bypass the construction from the north. IDOT said motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time to travel through the area. Drivers have been asked to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in work zones, obey posted limits and be on the look out for construction workers and equipment.
