Labor Day is Monday, Sept. 3 and a few places around town will be closed in observance of the holiday. Those are: Deerfield Post Office and Deerfield Village Hall. The Deerfield Park District regisration and administration offices also will be closed today (Saturday) through Labor Day, including the Patty Turner Center.  Meanwhile, the Sachs Recreation Center and the Deerfield Golf Course will be open on Labor Day, and Mitchell Pool is opened as well, but it is the last day of the swim season. Lap swim is from 9-10 a.m. and open open swim from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
