Mardi Gras Sunday Annual Celebration

Reconciling Congregation. Worship service Mardi Gras style. New Orleans jazz. Pancake breakfast.

Christ United Methodist Church’s  decades-long tradition of Mardi Gras Sunday will be held this Sunday, February 7th during the 10 a.m. service600 Deerfield Rd. (one block east of Waukegan Rd.)    www.christumcdeerfield.org 

Everyone is invited to this annual celebration featuring New Orleans style jazz by the “Lowdown Brass Band.”  Children will have a musical procession into the sanctuary wearing their Mardi Gras masks that they have made in Sunday school.  After worship stay for our delicious pancake breakfast ($3 per person or $10 per family).  Invite your friends and family to join us for this celebration!

As a Reconciling Congregation we celebrate diversity and are dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, races, ethnicities, special needs, or socio-economic statuses.
