New Homes Could Replace Wilmot Road Church
Local developers have plan to demolish Deerfield's Congregational Church in favor of eight new homes.

Two Deerfield developers have a contract to purchase the church’s real estate at 225 Wilmot Road and a contiguous lot to the north, according to the Deerfield Review. Their plan is to demolish the church and one home immediately to its north and subdivide the lot into eight lots between 11,000 and 11,650 square feet.

If all approvals are met, the homes would be built on a single street with a cul-de-sac at the end.
The church, which has between 35 and 40 members, will continue to hold worship services at the Wilmot Road site until at least October and possibly through the end of the year.
