Schneider Endorsed by Daily Herald in 10th District Primary
Editorial board says the former Congressman's understanding of issues is "deep and nuanced."

The Daily Herald’s editorial board has endorsed former U.S. Congressman Brad Schneider in the 10th District U.S. House of Representatives Democratic primary.
Schneider - who held the 10th District office from 2012 to 2014 - faces Nancy Rotering, the Mayor of Highland Park, in the March 15 primary. The winner will face incumbent Republican officeholder Bob Dold in the general election.
“His grasp of the issues is deep and nuanced,” the board concluded, adding that Rotering has “struggled to create any substantive disagreements with Schneider outside of the Iran agreement while lacking his mastery of the issues.”

“It’s difficult to predict what will happen in the general election this fall, but for the primary, we’re convinced that by virtue of temperament, experience and perspective, Schneider is the best choice for Democratic voters.”
